1. You Can’t Say That!

Choose a word that everyone will be forbidden from saying. The word “baby” is a good (but very difficult) option, but feel free to choose any baby-related word. As each guest arrives, give them a clothes pin or diaper pin to wear throughout the shower. After everyone has arrived, tell them that they cannot say the forbidden word. If someone hears someone else saying the forbidden word, they can steal the pin. Whoever has the most pins wins a gift.
2. What’s Her Age Again?
Find 10 photos of the expecting mom at various times during her life. At the shower, post them all for everyone to see, with a number next to each photo. Give each guest a numbered sheet of paper so they can write down their guess of the mom’s age in each photo.
3. Blindfolded Diaper Changing
You will need a couple of baby dolls, a pack of diapers and two blindfolds. Have two guests at a time race to see who can diaper the baby doll the fastest while blind folded. The winners of each race can compete against each other until you have a winner.

4. Guess the Baby Game
Ask each guest to bring a baby picture of themselves to the shower. Assign a number to each photo and post them around the party. Give each guest a numbered sheet of paper so they can write down their guesses. The person who has the most correct answers wins.
5. Animal Babies
Make a list of animals and the names of their young. For example, a tadpole that hasn’t yet grown legs is called a polliwog, and a young pig is called a shoat. Have your guests work in teams to guess the names of 10 or 15 different animal babies.
6. “Baby” Songs

Put your guests into teams of two or three people. Give everyone three minutes to list as many songs with the word “baby” or “babe” in the title. The team with the most songs at the end of the three minutes wins!
7. Name That Tune
Create a playlist of songs with the word “baby” or “babe” in the title. Play 30 seconds of each song, and have everyone try to guess the artist and the title. If your guests are all music buffs, you can also ask them to name the album on which the song appeared or the year that the song was released.
8. Design Baby Clothing

Buy a bunch of white baby onesies or bibs and fabric markers. Give one garment to each guest and let them go crazy! Each person can decorate and design the article of baby clothing and create a one of a kind gift for the new baby.
9. Celebrity Babies
Print out photos of the babies of celebrities and see who can guess the parents correctly.
10. Before They Were Famous
Find photos of celebrities from their childhood (they’re out there, trust us). Display the photos and have your baby shower guests try to figure out which stars are in them!
11. Price Is Right
Bring a series of gifts for the mom-to-be, and have guests try to guess the value without going over. But winners only get bragging rights! The gifts, of course, are for the woman who’s expecting.
Bob Barker isn’t the only one who can set the stage for big wins! Buy 10 to 12 baby items you think the parents-to-be will need. Use blank note cards to write the price of each item on one side, and the item itself on the other. Gather guests together and play it just like the TV show: each guest must guess the price of the items on the cards, and the person with the highest total-without going over-wins. Best of all, the parents-to-be get to keep the handy baby items used for the game.
12. Toilet Paper Diaper Race
Have all of your guests form teams of two, and give each team a roll of toilet paper. Allow everyone two minutes to make a diaper out of toilet paper on one member of the team. The team that creates the best makeshift diaper wins!
13. Blindfolded Spoon-Feeding

Get ready to regress! You’ll have guests drooling food, making messes and laughing uncontrollably with this baby shower game. Give each person a large bib and divide the party into teams of two. Each team is given a jar of applesauce and two small spoons. One team at a time, you’ll blindfold the pair and have the team members feed the applesauce to one another at the same time. Clock each team’s time. The fastest duo to finish their applesauce wins. Of course, the best part is watching everyone spill and dribble all over themselves!
14. Baby Food Connoisseur

If you’ve ever thought that baby food in jars looks less like the ‘peas’ or ‘carrots’ they purport to be and more like miscellaneous mush, this is the game for you. Gather seven to ten unique flavors of baby food jars, number each lid and tear off the labels. Ask each guest to grab a spoon and start sampling! The guest with the keenest taste buds wins a prize for getting the most correct.
15. Baby Shower Charades
Turn this classic family game into a special baby shower game! All you need to do is choose baby-related words and phrases.
You can pick simple phrases like “dirty diaper” and “breastfeeding,” or you can make things more difficult by choosing baby idioms (e.g. “don’t throw the baby out with the bathwater,” “smooth as a baby’s bottom,” etc.).
16. Baby Shower Pictionary
The idea here is the same as with baby shower charades. Simply choose baby-related phrases and have your guests try to draw that phrase while other people guess what it is.
17. Big-Belly Twister
Have everyone place a blown-up balloon underneath their shirt on their tummy. Then play a game of Twister! Anyone whose balloon pops is out.
18. Baby Pool
Have each person try to guess the exact date and time of birth of the baby that’s on the way. If you want to make things interesting, let each person throw one dollar into an envelope along with their prediction. Whoever is closest to the real date and time of birth wins the cash!
19. Don’t Let Your Water (Balloon) Break!
Fill up a big bucket of water balloons. Create a starting line and a finish line. Place a bucket or large bowl for each person along the finish line.

Guests must hold the water balloons between their knees and waddle to the finish line, then drop the full water balloon into the bucket. If the water balloon bursts, they must go back to the starting line and begin again.
20. Poop Inspector
Melt 10 different candy bars in small, microwave-safe bowls. Place them all out on a table and have guests guess what type of candy bar each bowl contains. It looks gross, but your guests will have fun guessing .
21. A Message On A Diaper
Provide a big box of diapers and several permanent markers. Have guests decorate the backs of the diapers with funny or inspirational messages. But don’t let the mom-to-be see them yet! Put them in a bag to be surprises for after the baby arrives.
22. Relay Race
Get some exercise by holding a relay race for you and your guests to compete in. Events might include changing a diaper, filling a baby bottle with formula, and pushing a stroller through an obstacle course.
23. Mama Knows Best!
Have any mothers in the room share three pieces of advice for the expecting mom.
24 . Drink Up, Baby!
Whether you’re planning a daring couple’s shower or a tame for-all-ages party, this game is always a hilarious hit. Fill baby bottles with the beverage of your choice-beer for the guys at a grown-ups’ party and apple juice for the kids at a family baby shower. Then, give everyone a bottle and on the count of three they must suck the bottles dry as quickly as possible. The first person to down the contents of his or her bottle wins.

25. Guess The Baby Item
Keep guests guessing with this practical game. Put at least ten common, useful baby items inside a diaper bag; a bib, teething ring, rattle, bottle and diapers are just a few goodies that are also fairly inexpensive. Give each guest a pen and paper before passing the diaper bag around. Without looking, each person should stick a hand inside the bag and identify as many items as possible. Give each two minutes to feel around and make their guesses before moving the bag to the next person. Once everyone has had a turn, find out who had the most correct answers. The winner gets a prize and the parents-to-be get the diaper bag filled with baby essentials!
26. Mommy And Daddy Questionnaire
This is a great game for a coed shower. Ask the mom- and dad-to-be 10 to 20 questions, making sure the significant other is in another room when asking either one the questions. Some questions you could ask include:
- Where were you when you found out you were expecting?
- What was your reaction when you found out the exciting news?
- What would you want your little one to be when they grow up?
- What are you most excited about when it comes to welcoming your baby?
After the parents-to-be have both been questioned separately and the answers have been recorded, bring them together. Give both mom and dad a piece of paper or a board and marker to record their answers. When you ask the questions, each parent has to answer in regard to what their partner is thinking. They will reveal their answers at the same time.
It’s a fun game to watch and learn about the parents-to-be, and we’re sure they’ll get a good laugh out of it!
27. Baby Drawings
Pass around a sturdy paper plate and marker to each guest. Instruct them to draw a picture of a baby, and whoever has the best drawing wins. But there’s a catch: they have to draw a baby with the paper plate placed on top of their head. This one should get interesting!
28. Guess Mom-To-Be’s Measurements
This is an oldie, but a goodie. In this game, the guests guess the measurement of mom’s belly circumference by using a piece of yarn.
Start by passing around a ball of yarn and some scissors. Have each guest cut the yarn to the size they estimate will fit perfectly around the expecting mom’s belly. After each guest has a piece of yarn, they will take turns going up to mom and wrapping it around her. Whoever is the closest wins.
29. Ice Baby Breaker
The literal ice-breaker game! The night before the shower, put tiny plastic babies into an ice cube tray and fill with water. You may need to fill more than one ice tray. When the guests arrive, have them pick one piece of ice and place it in their drink.
The objective is to yell out, “I have a baby!” when your tiny baby has fully separated and melted from the ice cube. Whoever has their baby first wins the game. You can also change it up by asking people to correctly guess how long it will take for their baby to be born.
30. Diaper Raffle
On average, a newborn pees and poops enough to go though 70 diapers per week. Crazy, but absolutely true. That’s why this simple game is such an amazing gift for the parents-to-be. Include a note with your baby shower invitations letting guests know that you’ll be raffling off an amazing surprise prize at the baby shower. All they have to do to get a raffle ticket is bring a package of diapers with them-and the more diapers they bring, the more raffle tickets they get! On the day of the shower, diapers will be crammed into every nook and cranny. Long after the party, the grateful parents will give silent thanks with each fresh diaper they use.
31. Tinkle in the Pot
If you’ve ever been pregnant-or spoken at length to anyone who is-you know that running to the bathroom every thirty seconds is just par for the course. This game lets guests experience this funky side effect in a fun way. Line up some jars on one side of the room. On the other, have guests line up with a balloon and a quarter. Everyone should blow up the balloons and stuff them under their shirts. Then, they place the quarter tightly between their knees and race to the jar-holding the coin tightly as they waddle as fast as they can. Once at the jar, the contestant must ‘pee’ in the jar, dropping the coin neatly through the opening. The first person to make all of their potty runs will win the prize. For an outdoor race, give each person water balloons to hold between their knees as they shuffle across the lawn-be careful not to let your ‘water break’!
32. Cupcake Decorating
Before the shower, bake a batch of cupcakes, dropping in a single miniature plastic baby in one random cup. At the shower, bring out the platter of undecorated cupcakes-without letting on that one is secretly ‘pregnant’-and give all guests a supply of frosting, candies and baby decorations. After everyone has decorated their own unique cupcake, the mom-to-be chooses her favorite and the winner gets a prize. Then, just as guests are about to devour the baked goodies whole, let everyone know that whoever finds the baby is next in line to have her own!

33. Baby Bingo

This is a fun game to play during gift opening. Give each guest a paper with a grid of 25 squares. Have them write the names of 24 baby items they think the mom to be will receive as a gift. The middle square is a free square. The guests can mark off their squares as the mom reveals gifts on their bingo card. The first one to get Bingo wins.
34. Love Letters
Get a small journal or notebook. Have each guest write something for the mom-to-be. It can be full of jokes, well-wishes, or simple expressions of love and friendship. The expecting mom can read them when she wants to relieve stress or simply to put a smile on her face.
